Gideon Plumbing was subcontracted for a job through a restoration company that was hired to do some repairs in our home.Both plumbers that visited our home were very professional, knowledgeable, confident, and courteous.They were consistently on time for their scheduled appointments, and we are very happy with the work they did.I highly recommend Gideon.They are the type of company that will go the extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied.We will be hiring them to complete other upcoming jobs in our home.Thanks Gideon, to A in reception and to A and A, the two awesome plumbers who worked in our home. Very professional, friendly and arrived same day I phoned. Very appreciative of the step by step updates and honesty when it came to price quotes; no unfriendly surprises at the end. Also, seeing a photo and a little info about which plumber was coming to my home was a nice touch as a woman who lives on my own. We needed two toilets installed after a tile inlay. Gideon scheduled us for the same day at no extra charge. Their communication was outstanding as they texted us updates and confirmed our appointment for an even earlier slot. Joseph, our tecnician, was amazing. He was polite, efficient and he took great care in his job. We would highly recommend Gideon Plumbing to any one in need in the Cowichan Valley. Great job!!

Just had a bathroom faucet replaced. The only one of 4 plumbers to respond to my request. A quote was provided on-site after everything was inspected and video shown to back it up. There were a couple of issues due to very old parts that were in place but all were dealt with and the original quote adhered to. Another video was provided showing the completed work. This would have been a 5 star rating except for the lack of communication as to when the job would be completed.

Gideon Plumbing provided me with a very professional and convenient service. AJ was very friendly and polite and did his best to book a quote as soon as possible. Aaron was the technician assigned. Aaron gave us a quote the same day and upon acceptance of the quote, he got to work immediately. He had a great attention to detail, was professional and went the extra mile to help us. He worked quickly and yet delivered a high quality work.

Tried really hard to fit me in for a small but critical job going into a holiday weekend. I cannot say enough good things about the Gideon team. I had a VERY big water main issue; they responded quickly, the job was more difficult than expected but they persevered and kept their promise - on budget and on time. Professional. Positive. Mr. Amadeus, the technician who arrived punctually to repair two aging Moen faucets, exhibited a positive attitude throughout the service call. He promptly identified the issue and presented me with several viable solutions. Mr. Amadeus took the time to explain the root cause of the problem and provided transparent pricing for the repair. He then efficiently sourced the necessary parts and returned within an hour to complete the job. Notably, the replacement parts come with a lifetime warranty, resulting in labor-only charges. The company demonstrated exceptional service, and Mr. Amadeus' expertise was truly commendable.

We contacted Gideon after our Water Heater stop heating our water. The response call came within a few hours. Great service professional. They replaced our Water tank which was still on warranty and upgraded the system so we would be up to the new building code. Eric was efficient, professional and friendly. Highly recommend! We are so happy with the service provided by Ian as well as the initial customer service who answered our call and made a concrete effort to make sure we had a plumber out as soon as possible. Gideon Plumbing responded immediately and replaced our leaky hot water heater within hours of my first call. Despite being at work, they kept me informed of the process every step of the way. I was also impressed with their protocol to send a photo of the plumber prior to their arrival including a bio of their experience. We had a critical septic related issue that needed to be assessed pretty quickly. We live on Salt Spring Island which is a ferry ride away from Duncan…and I have seen the beautiful Gideon trucks driving around. I had heard they were good plumbers so gave them a call. From the first moments of the call I knew this was a highly professional well run organization. The dispatcher promptly called me back and we were lucky that a plumber technician was available to come by that morning. We received a text with our plumbers picture (so professional!) about what time he would arrive. Cole arrived and quickly got to work on assessing the problem and providing an accurate assessment and estimate of what needed to be done. He was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He returned the following day to do a pretty intense and demanding fix to our septic system and was able to do so quickly, reliably and within the budget we were given! All in all (despite the severity of the job) we were so pleased with the experience and were very happy to meet such a fine young person! Gideon from beginning to end was outstanding!

Picked Gideon Plumbing through Google and have to say the service was excellent. Curtis was very thorough, professional and personable and explained all repair options clearly and made sure I understood warranty, etc. Quote was provided immediately and fortunately he was able to make the necessary repairs on this one trip. The company also set me a text prior to Curtis showing up with a picture so I knew who to expect. Highly recommended!! 😊

Our frost free hose bib burst over and we were able to get a tech very quickly. Toby was extremely knowledgeable and patient will all of our questions and concerns. Gideon Plumbing is absolutely the best!!! I phoned on a Thursday evening, hoping to receive a call the following day. Shortly after I had left a message, Audrey called and arranged to have Andrej come over to Salt Spring Island the next morning to fix my clogged kitchen sink. On Friday morning, I received an email confirmation that Andrej was on his way and a phone call from Audrey to give me his eta. Included in the email was a photo of Andrej and a little bit of information about him.Andrej is by far the most competent and knowledgeable plumber I've ever hired. He obviously loves his job. First he did an assessment of the work that needed to be done and then quickly provided an estimate that I agreed to. He replaced the plumbing under the sink so that the pipe leading to the sewer pipe would slope properly and he also installed a cleanout since the original plumbing did not have one. Before he left, Andrej cleaned everything up beautifully. All of the work was completed quickly and efficiently. Gideon Plumbing has the best customer service I've ever had the good fortune to be the recipient of!

I had a great experience with Gideon Plumbing starting with the receptionist, on through to the dispatcher and finishing with the plumber, Cole, who was able to fix our problems. Everyone I dealt with was professional, respectful and very competent. We have had Gideon come to our home twice now, first for a full sewer line replacement & rough-in plumbing (there’s another 5-star review for that, if you scroll down far enough!), and now for upgrading our old oil furnace to a new gas furnace.Aaron and Amadeus were a pleasure to have in our home and the installation was flawless. The Gideon Plumbing response to my request to replace an old water heater was prompt and the work was scheduled within less than a week. The plumber person showed up at the right date and time and performed the work professionally and quite fast. We had hot water in less than four hours. The communication between us and Gideon Plumbing was very good through emails, texts and phone calls. We were informed at all times about the work schedule and cost. The installation of the new water heater is exceptionally good and the installation cost was fair. I highly recommend Gideon Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

Every aspect of our experience with Gideon handling the renovation of our basement bathroom was professional, prompt and very reasonably priced. Gideon comes to Salt Spring at no charge. Provided an onsite quote within a day and started the following week. Cole and Ian took care of everything from jack hammering the floor, installing a new sump,re-running the drains and waterlines and refinishing the concrete. They sourced and installed all new fixtures and on top of all that they also replaced our hot water heater. All this was completed in just 9 days! We are recommending them to everyone we know. A complete pleasure to work with.

I’m incredibly pleased with the service from Gideon Plumbing. From the responsiveness to my initial call, to being able to get all the repairs done the following day, I have been impressed every step of the way. The team fully explained what was needed in a clear and respectful conversation. They worked cleanly and left the areas worked in immaculate condition.Work I had done included installation of a new water tank and bringing everything related up to code for natural gas and earthquake requirements, thermal expansion tank, frost free hose bib on the outside tap, multiple isolation values and braided supplies. I have already booked another visit to have a new toilet and sink installed.

Excellent. Efficient, helpful, thoughtful and thorough. Audrey worked hard to quickly fit me into their busy schedule and Amadeus worked his plumber magic with a positive attitude and great personality. The work was so well done and I now have the best looking new sink and faucet with clean plumbing beneath as well as two new comfort toilets which fit under pork-chop counters. We had an excellent experience with Cole who reconfigured the plumbing in our kitchen so that we could get a dishwasher installed. Work included removing the old cupboard, moving a protruding pipe into the wall and redoing plumbing under the kitchen sink. Cole was great at making recommendations for the job and identifying where potential issues were with the current configuration and how he could solve them. Absolutely amazing! My husband and I needed a complete re-piping of our entire house which was extremely daunting for us. Toby came over to inspect and give us a quote, he was very reassuring, knowledgeable and an absolute ray of sunshine with a passion for plumbing. He also came up with an alternative plan to avoid us having to dig up our driveway and front stairs which was fantastic. Toby, Justin, Curtis and Owen came to complete the job and we were beyond impressed with their work and professional manner. My husband and I were delighted by the extent of customer service we received from all of these gentlemen; it's clear that they love what they do and care about their customers. The work was completed quickly and with precision, and all of the team was very respectful of our home. It's hard to find a plumber here on Salt Spring (at least one who will return a call or email), so I called Gideon. From the start, they were professional, efficient and friendly. They sent Ian over and he was great. He produced a detailed estimate and plan. He then came over and did the work. We are delighted with the booster pump he installed, the water line he installed up the property, and the two farm hydrants he installed. The price was fair, their communications were prompt and efficient, and they did what they said they were going to do, when they said they would do it, and for the price they quoted. I'd recommend them to anyone here on Salt Spring.

Andrej was very explanatory with each step of repair. Very friendly. His confidence and expertise was reassuring. He left the drywall pieces he cut out for me to do drywall repairs. The only thing I would ask Gideon Plumbing to do is make sure All their plumbers leave the pieces cut out just in case we would want to remove the plastic covers they include, and get the original look back. And also, for those emergency calls that come in, the plumbers should allow for a little extra supplies just in case they have to go to a later in the day job after the stores close. Having to wait another day without water can make some home owners not too happy. I was okay with it as the next day was also a day off and so I didn't have to go to work. Thanks Andrej for a job well done. :)

From beginning to end dealing with Gideon has been a positive experience. Setting up an appointment, and rescheduling that same appointment, was easy and both people I spoke with on the phone were extremely friendly and helpful. The plumbers, Curtis and Justin (apprentice) were friendly and eager to get the job done right. They didn't leave until everything was cleaned up and working as expected. I will be using Gideon again when it comes time to change out the hot water heater and replace some tired old valves. I highly recommend the team at Gideon Plumbing!

We called Gideon Plumbing at about 2:00pm on a Friday afternoon after our countertop installer told us that we would need a plumber to finish up the installation that he was called for. We were surprised that our installer didnt tell us ahead of time, otherwise we would have booked a plumber in advance!Anyways, so, we contacted Gideon and they said that they might not have time on Friday, but they would do their best to have us looked at on Saturday.Saturday morning at 10am Audrey the dispatcher calls me to let me know that they haven't forgotten about me and they are hoping that no emergency calls will come in that day so that I can be seen. Kudos to Audrey, super lady. Really appreciated her consideration.Ian the plumber made it to our house at about 3:15pm or so and fixed up our sink in about an hour! We were so pleased that we were able to be fit in on such short notice.Thank you!

Amazing service, called them this morning when my hot water tank broke down. They told me they would be here between 12:30 and 1:30 and they called just after 1pm and quoted me the price and then did all the work and stayed until 6 to finish the work and and kept the price they quoted me.The work was very professional and the worker was amazing and very friendly especially with my dog. Asked my if he couldn’t give him treats before he did and made him do something to get them.Highly recommend any one to use Gideon plumbing.

Wow our hot water tank decided to start leaking Wednesday night I called these guys the next morning and had Amadeus show up to do an estimate for hot water on demand. He showed up what he would be doing and he also said he would start now which shocked us so we hired Gideon to do the job. Amadeus was amazing hard worker. He showed up Friday morning all ready to work about two hours in he hurt himself but said he was fine and would get checked later when the job was done I was like no go get checked and he said once I am done installing your new hot water on demand I will. He started around 9am and was done around 1:45pm. Thanks so much for your hard work Amadeus we really appreciate it. I would give him more than 5 stars he did his job above and beyond always answering our questions and did not mind if we watched for a little great guy. If you need anything done phone Gideon and as for Amadeus you won’t regret it.

Had my main water line replaced recently. Great to see that companies like this are still around and flourishing.- Started with a great sales rep. He provided 3 options and wasn’t pushy. Quote came in less than competitors.- Install was quick and plumber was a friendly, trustworthy, skilled person.- Great communication throughout process. No surprises and invoice was exactly as expected.- ~3 months after install there was a small issue. Gideon immediately responded and covered more than what their warranty stated. I told them the problem, they fixed it immediately, then they handled the costs without me asking. They just dealt with it. These people stand by their work. So impressed.

Gideon Plumbing replaced all the aging copper pipe in our home as well as the line from the city meter in. They also replaced a kitchen faucet and two shower valves plus outside taps and all shutoffs. The whole thing was done in two (full) days. The work cost a lot but in line with the work done. Service from booking on the phone with AJ to the plumbing tech Andrej service was excellent. They managed to squeeze me in within the same day I called, and gave plenty of heads up before Andrej came. He was very very helpful and was very thorough in explaining and even taught me a couple things! He went out of his way to give the house plumbing a cursory check to make sure all was good despite only needing to fix my shower. Andrej put tags on important parts of the plumbing so I knew what was what in case I had to shut off the main valve and etc. He was very professional and pleasant and finished the shower repair efficiently. Would 100% recommend especially for people who are clueless about these things like me 😄

This is the 2nd positive review I have posted for Gideon Plumbing. For someone who does not do reviews that says something! In addition to their excellent customer service (yes, that does still exist), we had a myriad of plumbing issues; spa tub motor not working, venting issue in bathroom, exterior hose bib replacement, installation of expansion tanks on all four water heaters, sink tap repairs and boiler repairs that they dealt with in a TIMELY manner. This list sounds tiny and simple but most items required troubleshooting and problem solving to the nth degree. I cannot even begin to list the amount of effort it took to solve some items that have plagued us for years (not to mention paid over and over again for the same poor results). Sadly, many of the problems were due to code violations from previous plumbers. Code is written to keep your equipment and home safe! How can that be ignored? Thanks to Jordon at Gideon Plumbing I finally feel safe and comfortable in my own home. Don't wait until you at wits end of contact Gideon Plumbing. They are based in Duncan but have included where I live, Salt Spring Island, in their service catchment. I promise you will not be disappointed.

He took the time to do a proper diagnosis of what turned out to be four separate issues and explained things very clearly. I've had great plumbers in the past on the mainland, but Gideon has surpassed all expectations! After moving to a new home, we discovered a leak in our plumbing a few days after moving in. I found Gideon Plumbing through a Google search, and the reviews were so impressive, I decided to give them a go. I called first thing Tuesday morning, didn’t get through or leave a message, but within five minutes I received a call back from their office. I explained the situation, mentioned it wasn’t an emergency as it was a slow leak into our crawlspace. The receptionist was incredibly professional and friendly, she said they’d do what they could to get us in within the next few days.By the end of day one, they called and said they’d try to get us in the following day. Unfortunately they had some emergency calls and phoned to let us know it would be another day before they could come. I was so impressed with them updating us to let us know we were still on their radar and that we could expect them the following day.The next day, I got a call that they would be able to come by within the next 15 minutes. They showed up, diagnosed the issue, gave us an estimate on the spot and the work was done within a few hours, no fuss or muss.The techs were incredibly polite and professional, explained everything as the job was being done, and there were zero surprises. The only surprise was the speed at which they attended the issue and the fairness in their pricing.I’m definitely a customer for life! Steven AJ did a quick thorough assessment and determined where to start without any unnecessary costly work.They have nice high-tech equipment, with the camera they can see where your problem is and show you, for me it was Grease buildup at the tank and several feet inside the house, years worth of hard build up!They used the hydro Jet and camera system to blast it all off the inside of the pipe and free it up.I'm so glad they did Unbelievable how much large hard chunks of debris was coming out of there!Thanks again guys for a great professional job at a very reasonable price.You're the best!

Once again we were helped by a team of dedicated, customer oriented folks with our plumbing needs and gas installation request. Audrey, a customer service specialist and Steve Baker jumped into action when a cancellation came in - they quickly met our needs for service. Working hard all day and finishing everything on his list, Steve completed all the jobs that were on his list and more! Professionally installing a Natural Gas line run from the meter to the other side of the house for our BBQ, the line is neat and hidden and done to code. A new faucet installed in the kitchen and many hidden problems and leaks and soon to be discovered issues were flagged, discussed and professionally replaced by Steve along with the original faucet job.
