Keep Your Head Above Water
Some homes need water pumps for a variety of needs, including preventing basements from flooding, draining a hot tub or spa or as part of the sprinkler system. At Gideon, we can help you choose the right make and model that is best for you specific application. Our technicians are experts when it comes to installing, repairing and maintaining water pumps.
Most homes have electric water pumps because they do a great job of removing water from a flooded basement. They are typically equipped with a battery backup, which allows you to use them even when your power goes out.
Sump Pumps
Sump pumps can be extremely handy if your home is located in a low-lying area that is prone to flooding or if your home has a basement. When rainwater or snow melt collects near your home, your sump pump will move it away after it collects in a sump pit. Your sump pump will not only prevent flooding in your basement but also protect your home’s foundation from damage.
At Gideon, we can help you determine which type of sump pump is right for you—pedestal or submersible. Unlike pedestal sump pumps, the motor of a submersible sump pump is sealed so that it can be submerged in water. These pumps are less bulky and are highly recommended for finished basements.
Sewer Pumps
We’re also the mighty team you can count on to install, repair or maintain your sewer pump. Sewer pumps are typically needed when a home has a bathroom in the basement. Basements are usually located below the sewer line entrance. As a result, the sewer pump is needed to transport waste and water from the basement below up and out of the house to the sewer line.
Hot Water Recirculation Pumps
These pumps help make sure your showers and faucets provide you with the hot water you need—when you need it. The team at Gideon will be able to inspect your plumbing and let you know if a hot water recirculation pump makes sense for your home. If it does, we will install the pump under the plumbing fixture that’s farthest away from your hot water heater. The pump is equipped with a sensor that will switch your recirculation pump on when water temperature drops to 29° C (85° F) and switch it off when it reaches 35° C (95° F).
